Mr. Bettencourt, first of all thanks for accepting my invitation to participate in this interview for CANIDAPRESA magazine, I'm glad that you have taken up the interest in supporting the recognition and the correct divulgation of the American Bully in Europa.

Mr. Bettencourt, first of all thanks for accepting my invitation to participate in this interview for CANIDAPRESA magazine,  I'm glad that you have taken up the interest in supporting the recognition and the correct divulgation of the American Bully in Europa. I think the point of view of a so scrupulous and careful breeder as you, will be very helpful. I feel it's time to let people know what you've done for the breed. There's no better way to start than by doing it, so when did you start your adventure in the Bully-World?

“Mr. Spada, first thank you for the opportunity to be heard in the CANDAPRESA Magazine as well as the American Bully across Europe, what an Honor!  I appreciate the kind words regarding myself and my camp throughout the years.  When did I start, I would have to say it started for me back in 99' at College, I had some friends with some Pitbulls and I had to have one ... I ended up purchasing a dog out of the Portland, Oregon classifieds section for $300.  He was a chocolate colored male with no papers and a huge head, I named him Tek.  I had Tek for about 2 years, never bred him just was my role dog, he went everywhere with me!  I ended up buying my first papered dog, a female I called Trinity in 2001.  I paid $550 for her, she was a blue brindle female that ended up getting stolen by the time she was 9 months.  By then I had no more dogs, kinda bumed out and not really into dogs at the time.  Later in 2001 I started looking around online and ran across some of the craziest looking pit bulls I had ever seen!!  The line of dogs originated of the east coast and really LA was the only place that had any "RE" dogs.  I would say that was when I was hooked, I had to have one!  There was just no way I was gonna pay $1000+ for a puppy!!! lol  Little did I know what the future would hold for me ...”
